Don't you think it's time to display grampa's Shrine Fez as he would've wanted.
The name of my shop, Wilburville, was an inspiration derived from my grandfather Wilbur. He was both a carpenter and brother mason at my lodge. He passed away only three months after I was born. I never got to meet him. This is my tribute to him. I think he would’ve liked this.
Perhaps you could proudly preserve memories by displaying your Fez or your Grandfather’s, Father’s, Brother’s, Mother’s, or Uncle’s Fez in a beautiful display case. You can now make that happen. This case will provide a dust free environment as well as a respectful display for your fez.
I am a retired autoworker from Michigan and have dabbled in firefighting for most of my life. Woodworking has run in my family for several generations and even when my son has a chance, he tries his hand at it. Working with wood has become my passion since about 1972 but didn't get into the finer aspects of the craft until around 2002 when I purchased my Jet Cabinet Saw and straighter saw cuts became a possibility. I discovered Norm Abrams and Wood Magazine about the same time and fell in love with making furniture. Since then, I have made several types of small and large projects. I especially love working in my wood shop and making beautiful wood Shrine Fez Display cases. But I am most proud that I am a Shriner and have earned a jeweled Shrine Fez and I am able to display it with pride. Knowing I made something someone can appreciate makes me very proud. It doesn't matter whether I'm actually working or not, just being in my shop gives me a sense of peace. Give me a pile of lumber, and I'm happy! I do it out of love of making the project.
